The Caribbean is dozens of separate countries and territories in a small area, each with its own networks. A cruise or an island-hopping trip can cross five of them in a week, which is exactly the situation a regional plan exists for.

Why country plans fall apart here
Barbados, St Lucia, Antigua, Jamaica and the Caymans are different countries with different operators. On a route that touches several in a few days, buying individually means paying an entry price per island for data you will use for a day and a half.
The bundle below covers 24 islands and territories, listed in full. It also reaches into South America, which is a genuine quirk of how the bundle is built rather than something we have arranged.
Cruises are the exception worth knowing
This is a land plan and it works when you are in port or ashore. It does not work at sea. Ships run their own satellite networks and connecting to one is charged by the cruise line at cruise-line rates, which are extraordinary. Keep mobile data switched off while sailing and turn it back on ashore — that is the whole trick, and it is worth more than any plan you could buy.
Regional plan or country plan?
A clear win for island-hopping and cruise ports. For a week in one resort on one island, the country plan is cheaper.
The arithmetic is simple enough to do yourself: add up what the individual country plans would cost for the countries you are actually visiting, and compare. Our full price list has every country we sell, and local or regional eSIM works through the trade-off in more detail.
Before you buy
Check the handset takes an eSIM and is not carrier-locked — dial *#06# and look for an EID beside the IMEI. No EID means no eSIM hardware, and a locked phone will install the profile then refuse to register. The device compatibility guide lists what works.
Install before you fly, while you still have reliable Wi-Fi: iPhone or Android. If it will not connect after you land, this works through the causes in order.
